Healthy Homes
The Healthy Homes Standards are regulations under the Residential Tenancies Act 1986. They set minimum requirements for heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture ingress, and draught stopping in rental properties. They do not directly apply to owner-occupied homes — but the standards are useful benchmarks for any owner, and the compliance regime matters the moment a property moves between owning and renting.
